THE STORY

My Beginning

As mentioned before, my drawing journey started kind of by accident…

Back in high school, I had the urge to draw one evening. I then grabbed an old schoolbook with the blue lines in, a magazine and HB pencil.

And started drawing.

The following morning, I took a look at the result and thought…

“Wow, I can do this drawing thing too.”

And it took off from there…

The Turning Point

After the accidental drawing discovery, I continued teaching myself how to use different tools by watching timelapse drawing videos on YouTube and then trying my own way of using them.

Eventually I started getting comments from strangers asking for commissions.

The quality improved drastically and then I got asked to give classes, but that’s not on the table as yet.

Africa As Inspiration

Since here in Africa we have the “Big 5”, naturally I was drawn to those animals, and because the lion is seen as the king of the jungle, it was no surprise that I got pulled toward it.

Created To Be Treasured

Since the quality of paper used for the prints is so high and the time and effort that went into drawing the original, I feel that owning one of them is something that is to be treasured.

It can last a very long time and could be something kids could inherit eventually.

I pour out my heart and soul into every drawing, and hope that when someone looks at them, they can feel the passion that went into it.
