THE CRAFT
Every Detail Begins With a Pencil.
I don’t simply reproduce a photograph. I study every detail, working patiently from section to section until the animal begins to come alive on the page.
A single drawing can take me two to three months to complete.
THE ARTIST
I Started Drawing Almost By Accident
I never set out with the intention of becoming a professional artist. I discovered drawing almost by accident and began teaching myself through years of observation, experimentation and practice.
Today, I create hyper-realistic graphite and charcoal wildlife artwork inspired by the extraordinary animals of Africa.
THE CONNECTION
Art With A Connection To The Wild.
My connection with African wildlife extends beyond the page. I work with a lion conservation organization involved with rescuing and caring for lions, and some of my artwork is created from photographs connected to this work.
A commission from relevant artwork is contributed to support their work.
